Siyasanga Papu is a South African actress who is best known for her role as ‘Pretty’ on Mzansi Magic’s discontinued telenovela Gomora. Before Gomora, she used to appear on Mzansi Magic’s Lokshion Bioskops, which include ‘Forget About It’ and ‘Ten Steps To Make Him Propose’.
This 39-year-old Pretoria-born talented actress also has a talent for singing. Gomora was discontinued two years ago; it’s so amazing for her that she has just bagged herself a new acting gig on Mzansi Magic’s gospel telenovela, Genesis. She will be playing the role of Ishmael’s mother.
Ishmael (role played by Craig Nobela) has never laid his eyes on his biological parents ever since he was born; he grew up in an orphanage where he was ill-treated. As a result, he fled away and went to stay in the streets, where he was using his talent for singing as a means of survival.
Genesis Records spotted his talent and decided to make him one of their artists. Joining Genesis Records was a breakthrough for him because he finally left the streets and is now living a luxurious life.
Ishmael’s girlfriend, Nobuhle, suggested that he start searching for his family. Ishmael wants nothing to do with his parents, since they abandoned him when he was a baby. Nobuhle managed to get Ishmael’s family address without him knowing, and very soon he will see his mother for the first time. This is definitely going to be a very interesting storyline.
