Zizipho Buti is a South African actress who is renowned for her role as ‘Tracy’ on SABC 1’s popular soap opera, Generations: The Legacy.
Zizipho was born and bred in Gugulethu, Cape Town, on the 8th of February 1995. Zizipho graduated from the University of Cape Town with a National Diploma in Theatre and Performance. In 2017 she graced our screens for her first acting debut on the hit drama television series, Nkululeko on Mzansi Magic, where she played Pinkie.
This charismatic, devoted and versatile actress has just bagged herself a new acting gig on Mzansi Magic’s most loved telenovela, Inimba. She plays the role of a private investigator investigating the hacking case at Khusela Tech.
Zizipho has a history of acting on stage and television. Her past endeavours include the play “Iyazika”, which was directed by Mandla Mbothwe and recalls the Mendi ship’s drowning and the soldiers who were lost, and her senior year performance. Desdemona in William Shakespeare’s “Othello”, which was directed by Claire Watling and Geoffrey Hyland, is one of the parts she performed while attending UCT.
She portrayed Thembsi in Jacqui Singer’s “Cincinnati”, which was directed by Barney Simon. Fatima Dike’s ‘So What’s New’, which was directed by Clare Stopford and Rehane Abrahams, featured her as Mercedes, a sixteen-year-old. After graduating, she was trained in Nguni acting by Mandla Mbothwe and Mfundo Tshazibane. She also has modelling experience.
