The scandal surrounding gospel musician Solly Moholo’s death looks to be far from ended, as his daughter has responded with rage to internet users who have attacked her for a trending video in which she is shown enjoying on an extravagant shopping spree.
A month after one of Mzansi’s most beloved gospel singers died, the country did not expect to see his youngest daughter, Louisa Molokaone, trending for overspending on retail therapy. This comes after the singer’s family requested money for his medical bills before to his death.
In an emotionally charged diatribe, Louisa defended herself and her family against criticism, dismissing any suspicion that the family used money provided for her late father’s hospital bills or received a policy payout, as many had suggested.
“I dare you to show me proof of payment of the donation money I ate,” she begins her lengthy post.
According to Louisa, she and her family could not have spent any of the money supplied by the South African people because just one person contributed to the family. Furthermore, she emphasises the conflicts and obstacles that the family encountered
This response left a bitter taste in the mouths of mzansi internet users, as many argued that if the family had not received donations as per Louisa’s comment, and the money she is currently spending was not an insurance payout, paying for medical bills would not have been an issue for the family.
“All those bags are worth what you guys were asking for in donations. Why didn’t you pay for your father’s hospital bills if you had the money all along? Why ask for handouts?” one user asks.
