Makhadzi is criticised for copying Rihanna’s album cover.

Makhadzi, a South African musician, has revealed the release date of her seventh studio album, “Miracle Child,” which is set to be dropped on Friday, September 6. The Venda beauty posted the artwork for her album on social media. People couldn’t help but note how much it resembled Rihanna’s 2012 “Unapologetic” album cover.

Everything is incredibly identical, including the hairstyles, fonts, colours, and the fact that both artists are bare-chested. Some of her fans are unhappy by the lack of creativity.

“Lmao, she didn’t even try. What if the other lady sues?” said one of her fans, @tseepati.

Makhadzi’s cover is legendary because it relates to her life events, such as miscarriage, winning the BET award, her “One Woman Show,” and owing the South African Revenue Service, among other things.

However, she is not the first South African artist to imitate Americans. When L’vovo Derango released “The Heavyweight” album in 2009, he plagiarised the cover from Jay Z’s “American Gangster,” which was based on the “American Gangster” film.
